Subashini Srinivasan

About me

Dr. Subashini Srinivasan is currently a Staff Data Scientist at Robotics and Digital Solutions of Johnson and Johnson, previously Auris Health Inc where she focuses on projects related to data science and data analytics for Monarch customers and engineers. Suba was previously a Staff Research Scientist and Technical Lead of the Monarch Bronchoscopy Navigation application at Auris Health.

Prior to joining Auris, Suba was a post-doctoral fellow in the Department of Radiology at Stanford University when she was a Stanford Cancer Imaging Training (SCIT) fellow. During the fellowship she developed a HoloLens application for breast lumpectomy surgical planning in collabortion with Microsoft. She also developed techniques for fat-based deformable registration of breast dynamic contrast enhanced images as well as pharmacokinetic modeling of breast MR images.

Suba earned her PhD in Biomedical Engineering at University of California, Los Angeles. Her PhD thesis developed novel variable flip angle balanced SSFP techniques for fast 3D T2 weighted prostate MRI as well as to reduce the SAR of free-breathing cardiac cine imaging.

Suba was previously a Research Intern at Siemens Corporate Research, where she developed an MRI pulse sequence for real-time, low specific absorption rate, off-resonance insensitive T2 weighted imaging. Suba has acquired expertise in Siemens IDEA pulse sequence and ICE image reconstruction programming.

Suba received her Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering from ETH Zurich, where she was an ESKAS scholar. She implemented a module to compute the connectivity mapping of brain fibre tracts using diffusion MRI and tractography at University College London. Suba later developed an algorithm for functional segmentation of kidney from dynamic contrast enhanced renal MRI at University Children's Hospital Zurich. For her Master's thesis, Suba developed a novel 3D black blood imaging technique for better visualization of the cardiac chambers at Harvard Medical School (BIDMC).

Suba has been recognized with ISMRM Junior Fellow, SCIT Fellowship, UCLA Bioengineering Fellowship, ISMRM Summa Cum Laude Award, ISMRM Magna Cum Laude Award, Switzerland Government ESKAS Scholarship, three ISMRM Travel Grants, and a Gold Medal (academic) from Anna University.
